Battlefield 4 / Re: 64 player server

Would it make any sense to make the larger server the vanilla and then the smaller one with the new maps?

Maybe we need to try to help people become better squad members.  (granted if I am a terrible shot you can't help that, but ...)  I am always up for constructive criticism as I am sure others are also.

A verbal SL helps a lot because sometimes you don't realize that the point has been changed.  The SL should also feel free to ask for specific kits.

It sucks when you are last man standing and your SL spawns someplace new changing the objective and leaving you alone.

Is it bad form for the SL to squad speak "Spawn on and play as a squad or I will kick you from this squad"?

Sorry, I'm just sitting at work filling time.

General Discussion / BF4 Manual

I know there were some of us looking for a manual for BF4.  I stumbled upon the official manual if anyone is interested although I didn't find much in it most of us don't already know.

If interested you can access the manual via Origin/My Games/BF4/  i  (The little information "i" next to the Play button)/Game Manual

By what I've read it seems that every platform has had major problems but they wont phrase it like that.

There is another dlc that is coming out soon for xbox.  I think it's Second Assault.  It looks like Microsoft payed them to release it on that platform just in time to sell their new xbox.  CR is releasing soon for PC though.

Not sure how much troubleshooting you have done or if I've read all your posts about this so sorry if I repeat something.

Use Resource Monitor to see what is taking up which resources.  There are a few different resource/performance monitors.  I would go to Task Manager.  Open the performance tab.  Click the Resource Monitor button.  I think this is in 8 also. (You can close Task Manager now if you want.)

Make sure to maximize it at first to see everything and look around a bit.   There should be tabs for CPU, network and memory so you can find your hogs. Lots of detail.  You can "check" certain processes to narrow the results across tabs but I usually just sort by the specific data column.

Now run BF.  When you experience issues tab over and check out what's happening under the hood.  Perhaps this can help pinpoint the issue if it is process related.
