General Discussion / Destiny 2 (PC)
« on: May 17, 2017, 09:26:49 am »

Destiny the game has been a stalwart for me on the console for the past 3 years. Yes I've taken breaks here and there to play other games, but I always seem to come back to Destiny. The thrill of planet hopping in our solar system is always a great reason to pick the game back up. But when it comes down to it gathering a Raid party of 6 people together is one of the best COOP experiences in a game yet. The objective in Raids is to run, jump, fight, and complete challenges throughout each stage of the raid until you come to the final boss.

Each boss encounter usually takes the full effort of each team member to beat. Sure some folks have figured out how to beat most of the raid bosses Solo, or with a Dance Dance revolution dance pad. But completing it with a full fireteam is far better IMO then even trying to beat them solo. Of course the main purpose of these raids is to gather and collect loot, which includes Weapons and Armor.

Another thing that has always sucked me back into the game is the Gun play. The gun design including how the weapons are fired, and the different stats that apply to each weapon type make for some interesting loadouts.

I hope that Destiny 2 brings all of the listed above qualities and then some. Since this one is coming to PC is anyone in our group thinking about picking it up later this year?

Still an awesome tactical shooter. Really enjoy the ways you can approach this game with each different character they have developed and placed in the game.

Anyone play this one?

Formal request to add this to the main topics section of the forums. Please and thank you.

Had a great time playing this one with you guys over the weekend and on the last day. The beta was a blast to the very end. Below is more information on this game and a bit of my opinion too :)

The 3 modes we had a chance to test were all great, but the 2 new modes were awesome! Heist and Hotwire modes were a TON of fun. The launch game will have 7 different modes, with two of those being competitive modes (no respawns). They all sound like a lot of fun, I'm excited to try out Blood Money...

I think they listed to Corn's suggestion to keep the map rotation small, only 9 maps availible at launch, but the 3 we had during the beta were great.

Game launches on 3/17/2015, so grab a beer, make it green, and celebrate St Patty's day in style by blowing stuff up!

Ran across a good reason to play the Final Stand maps, some hidden dog tags inside of boxes that you must Spoon...I mean knife to open.

Gonna try and grab these over the weekend.

Anybody have these yet? I've seen various ways people are obtaining them, most seem to be tied to the BF:Hardline beta, but quite a few have no connection to the BFH beta at all.

General Discussion / Farewell Candlestick Park
« on: December 24, 2013, 07:41:38 pm »
I had the distinct pleasure of being at the last regular season home game at Candlestick for the 49ers. It was indeed a treat for all of us during the game, but after the game was pretty cool too. Just a tad bit of foreshadowing for everyone, as my friends and I drove down to San Francisco we did our regular predictions of the game both of the score and if we thought specific players would have big games. Just before it was my turn to predict my friend stated that his Fantasy foe needed NaVaro Bowman to have 50 pts in order to beat him in their league, I interjected stating that was exactly what NaVaro was going to do, because he is 9ft tall and will make 6 INTs for TD's. We all laughed about that moment before and during the game. It just so happen that NaVaro made the last touchdown in regular season history and propelled the 49ers to the postseason. We all lost it! Could not believe what we had just seen, and as we left Candlestick I jested with everyone that 9ft NaVaro Bowman won the game. This ranks as my top moment at the Stick, and it will forever live with me.

I of course got some live videos from the game with my Note 3, of course I'm no professional photographer so the first video is quite a bit shaky but it fit the moment just right IMO. In the first 2:40 of the video history is made for the last time during a regular season game at the Stick, of the last 2 min left in the football game it took 7 min to film and I paused the recording between some plays as well. A side note that the videos appear to flip to a horizontal aspect which is unintended and I don't know how to make the skydrive not do this.

9ft tall NaVaro Bowman FTW

The second video is pure nostalgia as we say farewell to the Stick one last time during a great fireworks show to music and poor singing by me after the game was over. During the finale some of the fireworks did not propel in the air and instead landed about 5 rows in front of me and my friends.
